Our Sunday morning services begin at 8:00 and at 10:30. We begin on time and usually end at 10:00 and 12:30 respectively (we did say "usually!") We begin with a time of music, praise and worship, followed by announcements and collecting an offering, then a message from Pastor Jerome which never fails to be relevant and insightful, ending with an opportunity for prayer. Although lives are changed and the power of God is present, the atmosphere is warm and relaxed. Be prepared to laugh. We believe you can have a good time in church!
What should I wear? Although this is a concern for some people, we never want something like clothing to be a hindrance for you. What you consider appropriate for a church setting is probably reasonable to us and you will see people from business suits and dresses to pants and even a few jeans. Of course there is a standard of decency that we would appreciate, but most of all wear what is comfortable to you.
Depending on when you arrive you may get a parking space close to the building or one in a neighboring lot. In the latter case, we have shuttle vans to bring you to the door (a particular help for the elderly, parents with young children or if the weather is bad.) There's plenty of parking but it goes fast. We tell our regulars to park away from the building to leave spots in the front open for you.
As You Enter
The first people you will probably see as you enter the Welcome Center are our "greeters." These are friendly and helpful volunteers who can direct you to the Sanctuary for the main service; to our Children's Church or Nursery areas if needed; to the restrooms, etc. They are there to answer any questions you have or to assist you with anything you need. Just look for the folks wearing the gold badges.
Ushers are on hand to give you a bulletin/program and to help you find a seat. We project song lyrics and bible scriptures on ceiling mounted screens, easily seen from every seat in the house, for your convenience. If any disability issues need to be addressed, just let us know.
We are always happy to receive first-time visitors. All first-time visitors receive a small thank you gift for visiting.
We have an incredible team of volunteers who are trained to assist you and your children.
Nursery: If you have an infant or a toddler under 2 years old, please feel free to use the Nursery whenever you need it. This room is equipped with TV monitoring of the Sanctuary so that you will not miss the service if you have to take care of your little one. You can stay there with your child for part or all of the service; or have one of our volunteers take care of your child.
Children's Church: (10:30 Service Only): If you have children from 2-12 years, they are going to love Children's Church. We put a lot of time and attention into creating an environment where kids will have a ball while they learn. The kids enjoy music and praise together before going into smaller age-based groups for biblical teaching. The entire morning will be fun, energetic and instructive but our goal is for each child to be themselves and to be comfortable.
Of course, if you prefer, your child can accompany you into the main service.
Teens (13-18): We feel teenagers are old enough to join the rest of us in the main service. After your first visit, they may have made a new friend and decided to sit in the area where most of our teens gather. However, our meeting time geared specifically for teenagers is Wednesday evenings from 7:30 - 8:30 in our group called S.W.A.T. -- Students With A Testimony. (This is the same time we have our Adult Bible Study class to make transportation easier.)
