Pastor Jerome L. Lewis was born in Salem, NJ, the youngest of 8 children. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at 16 and has been pastoring for over 35 years. His passion for people and for seeing them live full, God-powered lives ignites everything he does from teaching and preaching to singing and moving mightily in the gifts of the Spirit.
Pastor Jerome attended Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma and graduated in 1981. He would go on to receive the rites of ordination from Rhema BTC in 1994 and from The Potter’s House International Pastoral Alliance (PHIPA) of Dallas, Texas in 2004. After graduation from Rhema, he returned home where he began his ministry by conducting services at various nursing homes in the South Jersey area.
He also taught weekly home bible studies and conducted street services in his hometown. In 1983, he married Lisa Pierce, his high-school sweetheart. Together, they served as Youth Pastors for 14 years at Christian Life Center (CLC) in Pennsville, New Jersey. Pastor Jerome also served as an Associate Pastor at CLC for 17 years–preaching and teaching, performing weddings, visiting the sick, providing counseling services for members of the congregation, and other related duties.
In 2000, Pastor Jerome and his wife were led to establish Seeds of Greatness Ministries, Inc. and Seeds of Greatness Bible Church (SEEDs) in New Castle, Delaware. SEEDs is a thriving church, committed to the vision of developing leaders and building strong Christian families. They average over 1,300 people in attendance each Sunday in their new campus, which includes a 1,400 seat sanctuary, youth center, fellowship hall and more. Success of the church in large part rests on the dynamic, consistent presentation of the Word of God that transforms lives. Pastor infectious humor and sensitivity to the move of God is hallmark in every service. Five weekly services and a host of events from marriage conferences to concerts, serve the congregation and the public at large, along with age-based connection groups for Children (Seedlings), Tweens (Evolution), Teens (Students With A Testimony), Young Adults (Bridge) and upwards, through seniors (65+, Seasoned Saints).
The new facility is fulfilling its purpose just as it was designed: to enabled Pastor Jerome to expand ministry. His vision is to be a 5-Star church impacting the community and the world. Current outreaches include programs for young unwed mothers, people being freed from addictions, people seeking spiritual support , divorcees and their children, seniors in a Nursing Home ministry, and at-risk youth in a Detention Center ministry; as well as a women’s ministry (Girlfriends!), a men’s ministry (My Brother’s Keeper), a television ministry, a social media ministry, a financial management ministry, an Entrepreneurs Club and enrichment classes. SEEDs also partners with organizations working for the local community such as Women at the Well and Child, Inc.– Delaware non-profits dedicated to helping women and families in crisis – and Habitat for Humanity, a Delaware nonprofit investing in affordable housing and building communities. SEEDs’ reach can further be seen in it’s support of national ministries such as Tennessee’s Mercy Ministries, working with at-risk young women facing unwanted pregnancies, sex trafficking, depression, etc., Compassion International, releasing children from poverty worldwide, and it’s support of missionaries in Haiti, Turkey and around the globe.
Pastor Jerome has been recognized with the Religious Service Award from the Salem County Chapter of the NAACP, The Presidential Award of Habitat For Humanity of New Castle, and is a member of The Fellowship [formerly Fellowship of International Christian Word of Faith Ministries (FICWFM)] of Los Angeles, CA. Pastor Jerome and Lisa live in New Castle, Delaware and have two adult children — Lauren Lewis and Jerome, Jr. (Antoinette Lewis) with baby Sarai.
Is a dynamic woman of God who believes in the power of God and in His great love for us. She uses that power and love to build, encourage and transform lives.
Lisa is the active first lady of Seeds of Greatness Bible Church, which she and her husband, Pastor Jerome Lewis, founded in 2000 in New Castle, DE. Their motto, “We believe there is greatness in you,” is the underlying principle behind everything they do. Lisa brought her 18 years of professional experience as office administrator for several prominent law firms in the Delaware Valley to the role of Administrative Director and Vice President of the Board of Directors. She oversees all the business and operational practices of this organization that serves over 1300 people each week.
Her vision has led her to organize and expand many ministries within the church. Most notably, Lisa founded Girlfriends!, the women’s ministry of Seeds of Greatness Bible Church, in order to educate and inspire women to be all they can be in Christ. Girlfriends!, where “There are no strangers, just Girlfriends! we haven’t met yet!”, hosts a wide variety of meetings, conferences and events bringing women together to get practical guidance and support.
Lisa’s community development and her passion for others can be seen in her Domestic Violence Awareness advocacy. This began in 2004 when her dear friend and coworker died tragically at the hands of her husband. Lisa was appalled to learn how wide spread the issue of domestic violence is and immediately began an annual breakfast which grew to host several hundred men and women each year. These breakfasts and related events draw notable guests in the fields of politics, law, entertainment and in the news, from surrounding states and from around the country. As fundraisers, the events have raised tens of thousands of dollars in cash and gifts for several local shelters serving battered and abused women and children. As awareness-raisers, Lisa has brought encouragement, hope, education and practical support to those who desperately needed it. Through DVA “Remembers The Victims And Celebrates The Survivors.”
As a breast cancer survivor, Lisa has also become an advocate in this arena, incorporating life-saving information into her meetings and sharing her victorious testimony in church, on televised broadcasts and various media.
Further, Lisa is having an impact on local and international ministries. She presides as President and Chairperson of the Board of Directors for Child Inc., a Delaware non-profit dedicated to helping women and families in crisis, and serves on the Executive Board of Directors for Mercy Ministries, a faith-based, free-of-charge, residential program helping to free young women from such life-controlling issues as eating disorders, self-harm, drug and alcohol addictions, depression, unplanned pregnancy and sex trafficking.
Lisa and Pastor Jerome have been married for over 30 years and enjoy their two grown children — Jerome, Jr. who is married to Antoinette Lewis and have a beautiful daughter Sarai, and Lauren Lewis.
